Custom Pet Portraits
Custom artwork,
made just for you
Each acrylic pet portrait is lovingly hand-painted on stretched canvas and arrives ready to hang. T. Thompson paints directly from the photo you provide — dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, birds, reptiles, and more — to capture your pet as closely as possible.

The Process
From photo to painting
01
Share your photos
Send a clear, bright photo of your animal — natural outdoor light, no flash or filters, with the eyes and nose easy to see.
02
Confirm the details
Choose your size and background colour. The standard canvas is 18 × 14 in; a 50% deposit books your spot.
03
The painting begins
Your portrait is built in patient acrylic layers — most pieces take around 6 weeks.
04
Sign off & ship
You'll receive a photo of the finished piece first. Once you're delighted, it's carefully packed and sent to your door.

What photos work best?
Bright, natural outdoor light — no flash or filters. Close-up shots from the chest up or full body, sharp enough to see the tiny details in the eyes and nose. Blurry photos can't be painted from.
What animals can be painted?
All kinds — dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, birds, reptiles, and more.
What about the background?
A solid colour of your choice sits behind every portrait. Not sure? T. is happy to recommend one that complements your pet.
How long does it take?
Around 6 weeks. Need it sooner? Ask early — rush fees may apply depending on timing.
Anything to leave out?
If you'd like something left out — a collar or harness, say — just mention it before painting begins.
